The Mission of the P3Alliance is to investigate and disseminate accurate, politically neutral information on the illicit fentanyl crisis to correct a misguided and destructive narrative; to use this information to empower balanced changes in medical policy at the local, state, and federal levels that will free medical professionals to treat patients according to their individual needs; and to establish steps for future protections from manipulative and unwarranted 3rd party interference which has all but destroyed the sanctity of the patient/medical team relationship and the privacy of patients' protected medical information.
Our need to pursue balanced public policy related to the opioid crisis and opioid prescribing is just a symptom of a much larger need. Allowing 3rd parties and political narratives to influence the practice of medicine and healthcare policy has come at a great cost to the Patient/Practitioner relationship. Until that sacred relationship is protected and 3rd party actors are forbidden from wielding political pressure in healthcare, individualized care from compassionate medical professionals will remain elusive.

We are a self and community funded grassroots social enterprise devoted to affecting legislative change across the country. We focus on identifying solutions and presenting ideal policies that reduce overdoses and addiction. The key is to do this while limiting negative consequences to the patients who depend on opioid pain medications to continue working and for their quality of life. Our most recent success was in Oklahoma where we worked with stakeholders to amend the states opioid prescribing law in ways that brought the same level of transparency to PDMP access as other similar databases require, provide a targeted Committee real time information to track and reduce overdoses, while giving practitioners better options and protections when prescribing pain medications to patients.
